It's simple. Vehicles cost to much money now. Electric vehicles are not good for the environment. Love your channel. Always have. My 2.3 Bronco gets the same gas mileage as my 2010 V8 F-150. I just don't get it.

I don't believe CJDR offers any fully battery electric vehicles, and only a very limited selection of hybrid vehicles. IMO their problems are mostly that for the past 5 years, they have consistently increased their prices (to offer admittedly higher content vehicles), and over this period their average transaction price has increased over 50% while inflation has only increased 23%. As you said, Johnny, average working people NEED LOWER PRICED VEHICLES, and are beginning to rebel against paying $60K to $100K (USD) for new cars. And as you kind of mentioned, CJDR customers traditionally sought the lower prices at CJDR, while Stellantis seems to have abandoned their traditional customers. And for 2024, Stellantis has refused to offer any meaningful factory incentives while inventory continues to burst at the seams. And not only CJDR, I think the other higher priced manufacturers are also going to feel the pain of lower sales until they start offering lower priced vehicles again. Only a limited number of people can afford to buy a $80 to $100K Ford F150 either, Platinum trim or not. Thanks for all the work you do to keep us all informed out here!

I have the 2024 2.0 AVD tow package i think the transmission can be retuned to shift at a different RPM range you may get 2-3 more miles per gallon

Got my 2nd F150 with the tiny 2.7 Ecoboost, 94,000 on the first truck and not a single problem, ran as good the day I traded as it did day 1. All the manufacturers need keep an eye on these parts suppliers making crap in China, I’m guessing.i thought when Toyota had engine problems it can absolutely happen to anyone.

If the intake valve falls & hits the piston it's going to be catastrophic, period.

We still like Escape over Bronco Sport, mainly because the Escape is a longer wheelbase, so smoother ride.

I’m no Toyota fan boy but really Johnny ? Ford has put aside nearly 4.8 billion dollars to fix all its recall issues goggle it it’s out there all these car manufacturers had major issues right now all of them

Excellent info - thank you. I passed this along to my friend who has a 2022 F150 with the 2.7 engine. Guessing his is safe.... I think he has about 60k on his already,....but it is worth checking out his build date.

One can go to NHTSA recall (www.nhtsa.gov/recalls) , enter your VIN and it'll tell you if your vehicle i on the recall list.

I have a 22 F150 with the 2.7 it only has 22000 miles on it. I love this engine. I'm not worried about it. If it's a bad one, Ford will replace it. I'll keep my truck and keep on driving it.

Johnny, as I said in the live chat, I saw a spec sheet show on TFL's "First Drive" review of the '25 Bronco Sport showing the 2.0 liter will come from Dearborn, not the Spain engine plant as in the 21-24 Bronco Sport Badlands. Hi Jake The you tuber that did the story on Chinese EVs is Winston Frederick Sterzel. He actually lived in China for many years and reported on what he seen and witness while he was there. One story was chinese EVs and it was not good. You'll have to check out his videos to find the one on EVs. It's very disturbing. Cheers

They're all way more capable than most can drive, but the Raptor is next level. It has literally everything you could do. Bigger intercooler, bigger axles than the F150 Raptors, Suspension from the 21-23 Raptor 37 (Fox 3.1 live valves), reinforced frame, 37" tires, bigger motor, all the lockouts and disconnects. It's actually an incredible value if you're doing hard core baja and offroading.

I can do that in my 26 year old jeep without the cameras

Let’s be honest. The loss of horsepower is california. I understand what’s been added to reduce the power isn’t cheap and has been tacked onto the MSRP.

If you build a Maverick on Ford website theres an acquisition fee of $695. To avoid that fee, go to a dealership that will sell at zero markup, and that $695 fee will not be added. Ordered a 2025XL $26k +destination and a few upgrades, $29k. If anyone thinks it's too much of a price jump from previous yesr models consider this.... 1. Hybrid transmission is upgraded, now an HF55 instead of HF45 2. Infotainment is now 13.2" vs 8" from previous years 3. Ford Copilot-360 1.0 now an option with added safety features which automatically upgrades mirrors from manual to power mirrors (Ford Copilot-360 2.0 on Lobo and Tremor I think). Great option especially if a younger, less experienced driver will be using it in the future 4. Android auto and Apple Carplay now wireless 5. Screen in front of steering wheel upgraded to 8" 6. If not mistaken, navigation is built in, no longer have to rely on cell phone app which I really like 7. In my opinion, they've built these Mavericks for a few years and have by now, ironed out any critical issues I don't need 4k. My Tundra tows over 6,000 lbs and my wifes Pilot, 5,000 lbs. I don't need AWD. My wifes Pilot, with greater towing, has it already. Just need puckup practicality thats easy to park, great on fuel economy, and seats someone 6' comfortably. Dealership I ordered from also has an in-house special, *free* car washes for life plus every other oil change *free* for life. Managed to qualify for a few discounts as well :) With the updates, I believe the 2025 Maverick is worth a little more now. Still a great option to enter the Hybrid club. Just my thoughts.

A lot of the difference off the line is in the trans tuning and torque management. The Ford Performance tune helps alleviate those issues in the 2.7L. Would be cool for you to test. Also, launching in 2nd gear helps. Also, I went the less expensive route and ordered the Big Bend Sasquatch. I also spent 3-4K on performance upgrades to the tune of 400+ WHP and 480 WTQ, which equates to around 500 HP and 580 TQ at the flywheel. Now I slap BRaptors around and can keep up with Wrangler 392s.

FYI... is it even possible to get a 2025 XLT Maverick with the Xactive (faux leather) Navy Pier seat trim VS the Cloth Navy Pier seat trim? IF yes. how and at what price? I see no way to do it under the XLT Build and Proce online. THANKS!

I will be upgrading my 22 hybrid xlt to a 25 hybrid AWD with tow package XLT. Price will be 34500 (US dollars). I paid 25k for my 22 so that's a big increase (still cheaper than most vehicles) but I'm adding AWD and Tow package plus all the new standard tech!

I thought the 12V battery was charged through the DC to DC Converter, using power from the HV Battery. Also, here is a great video on the operation of the Maverick ECVT. Just traded my 2017 F150 King Ranch 5.0 for a 2017 F150 Platinum 3.5 Ecoboost. Ranch had 170000 miles and the Platinum FX4 has 105000 miles. Keeping my fingers crossed
